1. Pop open the back door that reveals the film cartridge.
2. Aim, adjust flash, and take your shot!
3. Before the camera’s mechanism has a chance to eject the photo, tip out the film cartridge (pull it backward toward yourself) JUST ALITTLE BIT.
4. Then push the cartridge back in when the camera has done its mechanical whirling sounds. This way, the photo will not get pushed out, but it will have been exposed to the shot.
NOTE: Don’t pull the cartridge all the way out of the camera, or else light will get into the camera body and your photo will turn out completely white.
4. Close the back door.
5. Retake your photo, as you normally would, letting the photo pop out.

Hi, I tried to do a multi exposure w/ my instax and as expected the photo turned out white. I opened the back door and the display at the side showed “-” at where my number of shots is. Usually when it showed “-” my picture will turn out either black or white. Help!
nina: maybe you can come to our shop, and we’ll try to show yoU!
Are we able to do it with Polaroid Instax Mini 25 & Mini 50s?
chen: shouldn’t be a problem
Didn’t work with my Instax 50s
I tried three times as indicated but when each time only the first exposure appeared.
Caryn, we didn’t try with Instax 50s yet. Will share with you if we made it!
I tried this with my instax but the 2nd exposure didn’t came out. and the first one didn’t fully develop, the center of the picture was white. can you do a video tutorial maybe?
Yes Fanaa, will consider to make a tutorial video!
It worked for me! On the second try!
The first time, only my second shot turned out. So for my second try, I held the film cartridge down firmly and took my first shot – then hurriedly held it up a little bit as indicated until all the whirring sounds stopped.
Then I closed the back door and took my second shot, and voila! I’m using an Instax Mini 7s, btw. Hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing! ;D
I have an instax mini 50s and I do not believe this technique works with the 50s BECAUSE when the back is opened, the camera resets and shoots out film assuming it is the plastic cartridge protector. Does anyone know away to disable to film count/reset mode. Alternatively with 50s, you can shoot a whole cartridge following these instructions:

i would like to try this but the instructions are sort of confusing.. do you have a video on this? and i’m using an instax mini 25 so will it work?
