Cross processing usually involves one of the two following methods:

• Processing positive color reversal film in C-41 chemicals, resulting in a negative image on a colorless base.
• Processing negative color print film in E-6 chemicals, resulting in a positive image but with the orange base of a normally processed color negative.

Traditionally, cross processing color slide film in C-41 process chemicals is most common. Some commercial-level photography/darkroom merchants will perform this developing process. However, cross processing can take place in many other forms, such as negative color print film and/or positive color reversal film in a black and white developer.

Color cross processed photographs are often characterized by unnatural colors and high contrast. The results of cross processing differ from case to case, as the results are determined by many factors such as the make and type of the film used, the amount of light exposed onto the film and the chemical used to develop the film.

Also remember that everything depends on how you process your film. The chemicals, the machine calibrations and the developing process (the order, the temperature, etc.) are responsible for what you get towards the end. When you have your film processed, you get different results from different labs because they do not always use the same chemicals and calibrations.

A lil background…
At the age of 22, born and grew up in Bangkok, Thailand, she is currently one of the top drifter in her country. Driving a Nissan Cefiro A31 with Toyota Supra 1JZ engine which churns out 500bhp.

Her nickname is Namza means “water” in Thai suits her soft personality but agressive in race track. She is currently sponsored by XYZ Suspension, Puma, Deestones Tires, & Speed House Malaysia.

She’ll be visiting The Click Shop, SS2 Petaling Jaya on 25th February 2012 at 1pm before heading to KL Speed City. She will be drifitng in KL Speed City, Sg Besi Turf Club on the 25th Feb (Saturday Night Drift Weekly Series from 7pm-9pm) before she heads up to Genting Highland for her special treats.

On the 26th February (Sunday) she will be drifting in a special car tuned by HKS Thailand -a Nissan Silvia S15 at Shah Alam Stadium car park A from 10am-5pm.

So catch her before she goes back to Bangkok!

When switched on, the lens will protrude slightly, and the LCD on top will be activated. You will see the “NP” icon when you load fast films (ISO 800 and above). It means the Natural Photo mode is activated. I tried the camera first with a roll of Lomography 35mm Color Negative 800 and later with a roll of Fujifilm Natura 1600, which was specially designed for the Natura Classica Camera.

Not to mention, it packs in a pop-up flash which can be activated via the little button at the side. So, even if you do not want/have fast films, you can use the built-in flash!

Despite its shortcomings, I must say it’s a great camera and fairly easy to use (I jumped straight into using it w/o fussing over any instruction manual). Don’t be fooled into thinking that this camera is only made for indoors or low light, though it does work very well in those circumstances, take it out into the great outdoors and see it shine too!
