The SuperHeadz Plamodel DIY 35mm Camera is a film camera that you assemble yourself. The kit comes with about 30 parts, including a wide-angle 28mm lens, a screwdriver and instructions. There are also modification options for a more customized camera.

Although it takes a couple of hours to build, the end result is a traditional 35 mm camera and the pleasure of saying: “Look, I built this!”

Most of your non-geek friends will probably be unimpressed and fail to understand the inherent coolness of building a film camera, but this DIY project tickles our fancy no end.

FUUVI [JP], a Tokyo-based design company is selling a point-and-shoot camera that comes in the form of a juice, milk & cigarette box (of all things). This Juice Box Camera does not carry Juice, it’s contains FILM and take great pictures!

It uses 35mm film, features a release that’s shaped like a straw and comes with a 28ｍｍF9.5 lens. It’s sized at 64×34×100mm. It is made of plastic, even the lens. Once it eats up a film, you should always remember to twist the straw clockwise or counter-clockwise so that the shutter can be locked. Great design, the shutter button is the straw itself. Once you clicked it, the white part covering the lens will open and shoot its way.

This camera is really fun to use. It also gives people a second look once you pop it out of your pocket and take a picture with them. They would definitely smile and check your silly Juice box camera.
