The Canon EOS 500N is also known as the EOS Rebel G in the Americas or the New EOS Kiss in Japan. This camera was released in 1996 and replaced the EOS 500.
Changes compared to the EOS 500 involved:
compatibility with ETTL type flash
up to 1/2000 of a sec sync speed when equipped with a Canon Speedlight like 380EX, 220EX.
AF assist light to improve focus
Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) can be use from -2 to +2 in 1/2 stop increments
Easier access to night scene mode through command dial
Able to use the BP-8 vertical grip
Takes two CR123A batteries
This particular sample is in 8.5/10 cosmetic condition. While it might look like the front hand grip is a bit aged, but it has no stickiness to it and it is a pleasure to hold the camera thanks to its small size and light weight.
All functions and features are tested; shutter speed fires accurately at high and low speed; flash fires as it should.
